Ultrasonic plastic welding operates by converting a high-frequency electrical signal into mechanical vibration. When applied to thermoplastic contact surfaces, it generates tens of thousands of vibrations per second. This friction produces localized high temperatures, causing the plastic to melt rapidly. Under pressure, the two components integrate into a strong molecular bond.
