Principle of Ultrasonic Plastic Welding:
When ultrasonic waves act on the thermoplastic contact surface, high-frequency vibrations (tens of thousands of times per second) are generated. This energy is transmitted to the weld zone, creating local high temperatures due to acoustic resistance. As plastics have poor thermal conductivity, heat gathers rapidly, melting the contact faces. Under pressure, they integrate into one solid molecular chain. The quality depends on the transducer amplitude, applied pressure, and welding time.
The generator produces high-voltage, high-frequency signals (20KHZ or 15KHZ), which are converted into mechanical vibration. Friction causes the temperature to reach the melting point, achieving a perfect weld once the vibration stops and the workpiece cools under pressure. This high-tech process requires no solvents or adhesives, increasing productivity and reducing costs.
