The Filter Welding Circular Spin Friction Welder generates heat by rotational friction at circular joints to weld thermoplastic parts. The welder applies axial force while rotating one part against its stationary mate. The resulting friction generates heat that melts the parts at the spherical interface. Once rotation stops, the material cools and solidifies, forming a welded assembly with an impervious effect.
This technology is the preferred choice for assembling spherical or cylindrical shaped thermoplastic round parts, such as oil, water, air, and medical filters, mugs, tubes, cups, and barrels. It is particularly suitable for crystalline resins such as polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP).

Operation Security: Two-hand triggering mode complies with CE standards, featuring an emergency stop button and head ascent for mould debugging.
Welding Mode: Time welding mode for non-positioning requirements, suitable for various round plastic work-pieces.
Robust Construction: Made of steel with heavy-duty universal casters (bearing 500kgs) for durability and flexible movement.
High Precision: High rigidity design prevents vibration during start/stop. The spindle drive uses a precision motor with high torque output.
Intelligent Control: Digital control panel and PLC for adjusting pressure, welding time, and holding pressure.
The spin friction welder is utilized across various industries to connect parts such as industrial filters (oil/water/air/medical), tubes, cups, mugs, and barrels. It provides a solid-state process where the final joint is usually as potent as the base material.
When selecting a welder, ensure the weld area is equal to or greater than the typical wall section. Joint designs such as shear joints, flange shear joints, and tongue & groove joints should be considered. The upper part should be designed for driver engagement, and the parting line should be parallel to the applied force.
